Twenty years experience in mediation, negotiation, conflict resolution and 35 years experience as an Early Childhood and Parent Educator. Several years employment in hospitals and medical clinics as a physician's office assistant & medical transcriber
 
Mediation & Conflict Resolution
Completed the Conflict Resolution Training Program at the Justice Institute of B.C., with on-going mediation training in issues related to families, family-owned businesses and alternate dispute resolution through courses offered at the J.I., UBC, the Continuing Legal Education Society of B.C. and VORP, Langley.

 

 

Children & Families

Certificates I & II in Early Childhood, UBC ECE program.  Researched, designed & implemented standards for preschool recreation programs for the Sports & Recreation Branch of B.C.   Designed & instructed courses related to infants, toddlers and preschool age children & their parents throughout the province. Designed and instructed courses on Family Day Care for Surrey Adult Education Dept.

Issues Related to Families
Hundreds of successful separation and/or custody/child support mediations resulting in 99% resolution or partial resolution, thereby
helping to reduce cost and stress on couples and their families. 
Five day, two day and one day courses related to disputes involving co-owned and family owned businesses offered through the J.I. and Legal Services Society.
 
Practical Experience
Designed and implemented Volunteer Lay Mediation Training Program for Surrey/White Rock Mediation Services.  Designed and implemented a Neighbourhood Conflict Resolution Program meant to help coop and mutiple dwelling neighbourhoods resolve their own conflicts and produced appropriate training material and manual for this program.
 
Assumed Small Claims Coordinator duties and responsibilities for the first two-year offering of Small Claims Alternate Dispute Resolutions for the Attorney General's Department, while at SWMSS.
